The collection of P. Méaille, Art and Language has moved to Montsoreau castle and shows this place under a new perspective. This conceptual art movement challenges the conventional various types of art. Thus, the system implemented also challenges the established frameworks and offers a new way to talk, question, exchange views.
LA BOîTE à outils
The ecolier's chair - Concours Jean Prouvé 2015
The nomad tool box is both a seating desk and storage space for the students in elementaru school. This project allows the children to move around and to use the content of the toolbox for their school activities. This object responsibilizes them and makes them more autonomous by having to take care of their tools by themselves. The seated part of the desk allows the students to seat at the table. Otherwise, they can also seat of the pillow on the floor, to listen to a story for instance.
La boîte à outils nomade est un rangement et une assise pour les élèves de l’école élémentaire. L’objet permet à l’enfant de se déplacer durant son parcours hebdomadaire au sein de son école. D’ateliers en ateliers, il dispose dans sa boîte, de tous les outils qui lui seront nécessaires pour développer au mieux ses projets. L’objet responsabilise et rend autonome l’enfant, qui doit prendre soin de son matériel. L’assise permet de s’asseoir autour d’une table mais aussi avec le coussin de s’asseoir par terre pour écouter une histoire par exemple.
Cabanabook
Library for children - 2014
During chilhood, reading is very important and must be interactive. This library encourages reading with its comfortable seating possibilities.
The child, while seating in his cabin, is in his own little world where he can read his favorite books.
Changeable, the library grows together with the child thanks to the three height options.
Durant l’enfance, la lecture est très importante et très vivante. Cette bibliothèque incite à la lecture avec son assise confortable.
L’enfant se retrouve dans sa cabane, son univers, et peut y lire ses livres préférés. Évolutive, la bibliothèque grandit avec l’enfant grâce aux trois hauteurs différentes proposées..
Bulle de savon
The Akari lamp - 2013
The goal was to revisit the paper lamp in the style of the Americano-Japanese designer Nogushi.
I wanted to express the lightness and poesy oh these lamps. Therefore, I was inspired by the soap bubble that sometimes diffuser to give some movement to the lamp. I have also used a range of changing light in order to emphasize this concept of movement.
La demande était de revisiter la lampe en papier à la manière du designer Américano-Japonais, Nogushi.
J’ai souhaité reprendre la légèreté et la poésie que révèlent ces lampes. Ainsi, je me suis inspirée de la bulle de savon soufflée par les enfants. J’ai dessiné un diffuseur asymétrique afin de donner un certain mouvement à la lampe. J’ai également joué sur un dégradé de lumière changeante pour accentuer cette idée de mouvement.
LIVRE PUZZLE
The wooden toys - 2013
The goal was to design a wooden toy without screw, glue or nail. This is why I created a book-puzzle following the storybook of Claude Ponti : " Sur l'île des Zertes". Children can read it like a book or unfold like a board game. They can play either alone or with others, following the characters' adventures, page after page.. The book was tested with children at a kindergarten.
This project was carried out together with Eleonore Le Menn
L’ enjeux ici était de dessiner un jouet en bois sans clou, ni colle, ni vis destiné à une tranche d’âge déterminée. Pour répondre à cette demande j’ai réaliser un livre puzzle qui retrace l’histoire du livre "Sur l’île des Zertes" de Claude Ponti. A lire comme un livre ou à déplier comme un plateau de jeu, l’enfant joue seul ou à plusieurs au fil des pages avec les personnages de l’histoire. J’ai aussi fait appel à une crèche pour tester le livre avec des enfants.
